Tea Ingredients Question

Can I use almost anything I like to make a 'tea'? or are there ingredients that I shouldn't use?

Answer
Tea is really something steeped... like you can make compost tea from manure and water but you wouldn't want to drink it :)

So if your question is related to herbs and tea or herbal tea, there are some herbs that are for topical use only and should not be ingested... I could not list them all for you - there are too many that can have ill effects if you take them internally.

So my suggestion is you visit our Herbal Tea Ingredients list that contains about 150 herb profiles - within the profiles we identify herbs that should not ingested under the uses, benefits and caution section.

This should make it easy for you to determine which herbs are safe for you to use herbal tea with. We also have a recipe for each of the herbal teas as well.
