How many tea bags per quart?

Answer
There are 4 cups in a typical quart of liquid or water. To answer your question about how many tea bags to make a quart of tea is not a straight forward one though.

Typically you use one tea bag for every 8 ounces of tea you want to brew. But if you are willing to allow the tea to steep longer than three or 4 minutes, then you won't need to use one tea bag for every 8 ounces.

I personally would use one or two tea bags to make 1 quart (4 cups) of iced tea or hot tea.

When I make my ice tea, I do steep in fresh boiled water, and once steeped, I refrigerate. You should find that two tea bags are more than enough to brew a quart of tea.
