Spicy Ginger Tea Recipe

  • 4 Cups Fresh Cold Water
  • 2 to 3 inch piece of Fresh Ginger Root (Organic if you can find it!)
  • Optional: Honey and Lemon Slices, or
  • Optional: A Few Cloves or Dash of Nutmeg

    Directions for Tea:

Peel the ginger root and slice it into thin diagonal slices. Bring the fresh cold water to a boil in a saucepan. Do not ever use aluminium saucepans! Once it is boiling, add the ginger slices. Cover the pot, this is very important, and reduce to a simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain the tea. Add honey and lemon to taste.

Ginger contains thermogenic properties, so persons with a cold, the flu or those with a chill will benefit. It is also rich in antioxidants.

Make a pot today, and enjoy the healing properties of Ginger.
