Tea Party Sandwiches – Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese

This is a recipe for smoked salmon cream cheese filling. You can dress it up however you like and there are a few options at the end of the recipe for you to try. This one can be expensive to make depending on the cost of smoke salmon in your area.

Smoked Salmon Tea Party Sandwich Filling Recipe

  • Smoked Salmon – Wet Smoke, sheeted salmon
  • ¼ cup spreadable cream cheese

This is a two ingredient recipe, but what a great tea party sandwich. The salmon provides a beautiful color to the sliced roll if you are rolling sandwiches. Instructions for Building Tea Party Sandwiches are on this page. This one is simple, spread the cream cheese to the very edges of the prepared bread. Place smoked salmon in an even single layer over the entire cream cheese area. Roll or layer your tea party sandwiches.

Options for Smoked Salmon Sandwich Rolls

Capers - To make the tea sandwiches even prettier you can add a center to the rolled sandwich with capers. Make sure that you dry the capers on a paper towel to ensure that they do not bleed into the filling and the bread. Once they are dried with a paper towel, make a neat row of capaers along the edge of the bread you are going to roll. This way, the capers will be right in the middle when the roll is sliced. This is a little time consuming, but worth it for the prettiest of Smoked Salmon Tea Party Sandwiches.

Red Onions – You can finely chop some red onion and add this to the filling. This will give you a red and pink sandwich with a white ribbon.
