Rose Hip Herb - Herbal Tea

Rose Hip Herb

The Rose Hip, also called Rose Haw is the apple like fruit of the rose plant and unlike apples have a bitter taste. Rose Hips are commonly used in herbal teas but are also blended with other essential oils for aromatherapy. Rose Hips do contain essential vitamins, fatty acids as well as antioxidants.

Wild Roses have always been plentiful in areas that have water sources near by, such as the western prairies and the Rose Hips provided nutritious food sources for plains people and Native Americans. Rose Hips are higher in vitamin C than oranges and are easily dried to be used all through the winter.
