Is Black Currant tea ok to drink while pregnant?
Note: When drinking tea and being pregnant, you must use extreme caution.
Answer
Black Currant tea is usually a mix of black tea and black currant flavoring. There is usually a high caffeine content associated with any black tea, so I would have to say stear clear of this tea while you are pregnant. I know it is delicious, one of my favorites, but the caffeine can be harmful to your baby.

Tea Question
I want to know if it is okay to mix these herbal teas together using tea bags
1 red raspberry tea bag, with 1 Nettles tea bag, 1 dandelion tea bag, 1 red clover, and 1 chasteberry.
or 1 red raspberry tea bag, with 1 Nettles tea bag, 1 dandelion tea bag, and 1 chasteberry and false unicorn extract.
Answer
It is okay to mix teas that are acceptable and safe during pregnancy. Dandelion is questionable - it is a diuretic. I suggest you seek the advice of a herbalist regarding your pregnancy and the herbs you are wanting to ingest. The ratio of tea bags to water and steep time is also very important. A herbalist will be better able to give you ratios that will be safe during your pregnancy.
There are only a few herbal teas that are deemed safe during pregnancy - you must be very careful or you can harm yourself and your baby.
I hope this helps.

Tea Question
Can I drink Senna tea while pregnant?
Answer
Senna Tea is a laxative - I would not recommend that you drink this tea while you are pregnant. Just as it is a laxitive and can cause severe stomach cramping for yourself, your baby will also suffer these consequences.
My answer to this question for that reason is no. You should not be taking any type of laxative or laxative tea while you are pregnant.
You should also use caution after you have your baby and are breastfeeding - again Senna Tea would be out of the question, you will pass it on to the baby who will suffer cramping and severe runs.
Your doctor or medical advisor can recommend a safe laxative during pregnancy that will not affect the health of your unborn baby - but Senna based Herbal Teas is not it.
I hope this helps. You can read more about senna tea here. You will notice I do say pregnant women should not ingest senna.

Wu Yi & Pregnancy Question
Dear,
I would like to ask about this tea(Wu Yi) and its uses for weight loss during the 1st two months of pregnancy , what is the risks if you drink Wu Yi Tea while you are pregnant?

Wu Yi contains high levels of caffeine. You should not be drinking this tea while pregnant. The caffeine levels can harm the baby, especially in the first trimester.
Please consult your doctor or herbalist on a safe way to control your weight while you are pregnant. Wu Yi tea is excellent for weight loss, but not safe during pregnancy.

Are there any caffeine free teas that are completely safe for pregnancy (including the first trimester)? I am not picky and would just enjoy something warm to sip other than warm water & honey & lemon when I have a cold or sore throat. Doesn't have to be fancy - would a simple decaffinated lipton tea be okay? Please let me kow of any suggestions and safety. Thanks!

Is laxative tea bad for pregnancy?
Comment
Laxative tea is not a good choice to drink if you are pregnant.
There are usually warnings sold on any laxative product, including laxative tea, that tell pregnant women to avoid using or not use all together.
Typically laxatives (including teas) cause your muscles to tighten and contract. This is not good for pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. You can cause a miscarriage.
If you need or want a laxative tea or laxative product while you are pregnant, you must consult your family doctor. It is a very dangerous thing to do.
There are other more gentle ways to get relief if you are constipated. A doctor will be able to tell you the best method for yourself.
Thanks for the question and good luck.

How many cups do i have a day to help with fertiltiy ,
i think it tastes fantastic but dont want to take too much i currently have around 4 a day as its so refreshing when cold too is that too much.
Comment
Fertility tea is a great way to increase fertility. You should take the tea under the care of a medical practitioner or herbalist who will help you get the perfect blend for your specific needs. Raspberry leaf tea is traditionally used in the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy to support the uterine health and the baby. It is not adviseable in the first trimester, so I would get some medical advice on this before having any more of the tea.
4 cups a day sounds a bit much in my opinion, 2-3 would be a good number. You can read about Raspberry Leaf here and check out the side effects and cautions you should be looking for.
There are also other herbs that are more effective for promoting fertility, so consult your pharmacist or local herbalist and they will be able to assist.
Hope this helps,

Tea Question
I heard that tea in general is bad for pregnant women, im 37 weeks pregnant and im in love with ice tea i haven't drank it at all in my pregnancy but now i don't think i can hold off anymore.
Answer
Iced tea is not safe during pregnancy. Lipton iced tea is no exception. The high caffeine content, sugar, and other preservatives flow directly to your baby.
It is not safe to drink tea while pregnant mostly due to the high caffeine content. So, if you think you are going to give in to your ice tea craving, you need to look for decaffeinated ice tea, or make your own at home.
You can buy decaffeinated tea, brew it, add honey and lemon and that should curb your craving.
I hope this helps, and wish you a happy healthy pregnancy, but please stay away from the Lipton Ice Tea during your pregnancy.
Teya.
