Plum Blossom - Pi Lo Chun Green Tea

Pi Lo Chun Harvest

Pi Lo Chun is a vary rare and unique Chinese tea, it is produced only during the time period of the end of March (Spring Equinox) and early April. Pi Lo Chun Tea is harvested by the hand picking of just one leaf and the unopened bud. This is why the harvest period is so short and the flavour so crisp.

These hand picked buds are then rolled into the shape of a snail. The name Pi Lo Chun translates in English to “green snail spring”.

This Chinese green tea has the sweet fragrance of peach, apricot, and plum when brewed and the tea plants are grown along side of peach, plum and apricot trees. The tea plants absorb the scent of the sweet blossoms in the early spring and give this tea a unique fruity taste.

When brewed, Pi Lo Chun Tea is a light green-yellow in color and very fresh and fruity tasting, with no bitterness. It is very rare and an excellent Chinese Green Tea.
