Mother Daughter Tea Party

Google

Why not consider putting together a Mother Daughter Tea Party? These can be magical tea parties that your little ones remember for years to come.

To set the tea party up, compile a list of invites. Try to keep the Daughters in the same age brackett if possible. Send your Tea Party Invitations well in advance. It is always fun if you make the invitations yourself with your Daughter.

What Makes a Mother & Daugher Tea Party Special

There are a few things to keep in mind that can make the event really special for both the Mothers & the Daughters.

The top of our list is make it as Fancy as possible. Find some old china cups and saucers, silver serving trays, and even an old silver tea service is possible. The girls will just love this as they will feel that they are at a truly special event.

You can pick up lots of bits of decorations from your local dollar store or a second hand store in your area.

If you have planned your event in advance, you should have lots of time to hunt down some treasures.

Mother Daughter Tea Party Menu

Keep the tea party menu as classic as possible, but perhaps with a bit of a twist. Tea Party Sandwiches are a must, but maybe go with colored bread, in pinks and yellows, and some fun fillings like peanut butter and jelly.

The traditional tea party sweet tray should do just fine, but try to get some special little tea cakes to make it even more special. Local bakers and bakeries should be able to help you with this.

It is important to remember the little details of your tea party. Sugar tongs, napkins, little forks.... these will make a lasting impression on your Mothers & Daughters that attend.

Tea Party Dress Up

Another really great idea is to ask the guests to dress up in their finest dresses. Have some old costume jewellery, hats and of course gloves (white if you can find them) for the little ones to really have some fun. Just set up the dress up table off to the side of the tea party and it will give the daughters a little something extra to do while at the party.
