Moroccan Tea Pot

Google

If you have ever had Moroccan mint tea, you probably know how beautiful a Moroccan Tea Pot can be.
Moroccan style tea pots are used to serve traditional moroccan mint tea.

They have elegant spouts, that have beautiful curves. While they are beautiful to look at, these tea spouts make it easy to pour the tea into the tall moroccan tea cups.

Some people collect these treasures, and anitques can be sold for $100's of dollars. For a tea lover or tea pot collector, the moroccan pots are a must have.

Buy a Moroccan Tea Pot

One of my favorite places to hunt for special deals and unique varities of Moroccan style tea pots is Ebay, here is what is being auctioned right now.

The Moroccan culture regards tea drinking in the highest regard. Their mint moroccan tea is actually green tea with mint added. They drink the tea from small cups and these cups are filled with the beautiful Moroccan style tea pots.

Sometimes this is done from quite a height as Moroccan tea is preferred with 'bubbles' achieved from pouring the tea high above the glass. This will form a head on the tea of foamy bubbles.

The green tea, sugar, and mint infusion is often steeped 3 times in tradtional moroccan tea making. It is also usually served by the male head of the household, not the wife.

The three steeps of the moroccan tea all have a different flavor and there is an acient proverb that goes with this tradition:

The first glass is as bitter as life,
the second glass is as strong as love,
the third glass is as gentle as death.
