It is really easy to do, but first you need a clear, sunny warm day. A temperature over 72 degrees is best. Anything lower and your tea will take a long time to brew. Combine your water, tea, and flavorings in the large glass container. The tea and flavorings should be relative to the number of cups of tea that you are brewing. Once everything is in the jar or container, cover it with cheese cloth or a paper towel and secure it with an elastic. This will keep out unwanted bugs and bees. Place the covered container in a safe warm sunny spot and let your sun tea begin to brew. It can be ready in as little as 4 hours and usually takes about 6. Once it has taken on the color and taste you desire, simply take your container in the house.
