Goldenrod Herb - Herbal Tea

Google

Goldenrod Herb

Often associated with hay fever, Goldenrod is a plant that produces a bright yellow Goldenrod flower and is native to North America and found in meadows and along the roadside. Goldenseal does not cause hay fever but it is often thought to because of the time of its blooming. Goldenrod blooms in late summer to early fall, about the same time as ragweed which does cause hay fever. Goldenrod is propagated by insects and not by air. Goldenrod genus holds about 100 species and until they bloom in late summer Goldenrod is often hard to distinguish.

Considered weeds by some people Goldenrod are used in teas and decorations and are even considered good luck plants by many; still, Goldenrod is a favored plant and is the State plant of both Kentucky and Nebraska as well as a popular garden plant in Europe. Goldenrod grows to the height of 3 to 7 feet and flowers with large clusters.
