Red Clover and Fertility
Red Clover is often said to be the single most useful herb in fertility. Red Clover, which is actually not red, but pink blossoms, has been said to restore and balance hormones within the body and nourish the uterus. It contains isoflavones. Isoflavones are an estrogen like compound that promotes estrogen production and may increase fertility in women. Red clover is also rich in magnesium and calcium and is documented to relax the nervous system.
The first recipe below is a safe Red Clover Herbal Tea Infusion.
Dong Quai and Fertility
Dong Quai is a traditional chinese herb used for centuries and known as the chinese fertility herb. Don Quai is a hormone regulator, but works best in conjunction with other hormone regulating herbs.
WARNING - This herb can cause uterine contractions, and should not be taken after ovulation as it could lead to a miscarriage or possibly to birth defects. Dang Quai should only be taken from the first day of a woman's period until ovulation has been detected. Please be cautious if incorporating this herb into a Fertility Tea.
Peppermint and Fertility
Peppermint is a common ingredient in Fertility teas to aid in the absorption of Red Raspberry Leaf nutrients. Also has a calming, soothing affect, and may have sexual stimulant properties. Be sure to include Peppermint if you are infusing with Red Raspberry Leaf.
Nettle Leaves and Fertility
Nettle Leaves can have a positive affect on a womans ability to conceive and maintain a full term pregnancy. Nettle is rick in vitamins and minerals that aid in overall excellent reproductive health. Nettle leaves are rich in calcium, potassioum, phosphorous, iron and sulfur.

Red Clover Fertility Tea Recipe
- 1 ounce dried Red Clover Blossom
- 1 quart of fresh cold water
Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan or kettle. Do not use aluminium. Place the Red Clover Blossoms in a jar or glass container, no plastics, with a tight fitting lid. Fill the container with the boiled water and make sure the lid is on tight.
Let the Red Clover Tea infuse for at least 4 hours at room temperature, overnight is better. Drink 1 - 4 cups a day.
Fertility Tea Recipe

- 1 ounce dried Nettle Leaves
- 1 ounce dried Red Raspberry Leaf
- Optional - sprig of Peppermint
- 1 quart of fresh cold water
Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan or kettle. Do not use aluminium. Place the Red Clover Blossoms, Nettle Leaves and Red Raspberry Leaf in a jar or glass container, no plastics, with a tight fitting lid. Fill the container with the boiled water and make sure the lid is on tight.
