Single bud, sometimes with a unfolding leaf is plucked from the tea plant of "Fuding Da Bai Cha" or "Fuding Da Bai Hao". The buds are tightly rolled into a pearl shape with white hairy tips densely mantling on the surface, hence the tea named white dragon pearl.
When steeped, every pearls will slowly unfurl as if the flowers open up. The taste is mellow and mild. The fresh aroma is pure without grassy flavor.
