Dragon Well Green Tea is one of the most popular of the Chinese Green Teas. It originates from the Hangzhou in the Zhejiang Province of China. It is the most famous of the Chinese Green Teas and is produced mostly by skilled hands. Dragon Well Tea There are many grades of Dragon Well Tea, and the quality of course depends on the grade. Dragon Well Chinese Green Tea is also known as Longjing Green Tea.

The Dragon Well Teas are traditionally pan fried in a large wok and are very flatand a rich jade green compared to other green tea leaves. The leaves are pan fried unfermented, and hold their green colour very well. The Dragon Well varieties are also very rich in catechins. These are some of the most delicious types of green tea you will ever try.

When brewed, Dragon Well Tea is a light yellow in color and very rich in flavour and aroma. It is truly a prized tea of China.

The taste is somewhat nutty, smooth and sweet. It is one of the very best tasting Chinese Green Teas. Do not steep in boiling water, you will ruin the taste. The water needs to be at just the preboil phase. The temperature of the steeping water can greatly affect the taste of any type of tea.
