Dong Quai Tea

Herbal Tea & Herbal Remedies

Google

Dong Quai tea is known as a womens tea or tonic. Commercially you can find it offered for sale from Yogi Teas, but it is actually something that you can make at home.

Dong Quai is very popular in chinese herbalism. It is one of the most common herbs to treat womens issues like pms, menopause and support fertility. As a traditional Chinese Medicine it has been used for centuries. In North America, you can often find Dong Quai under the name Angelica or Angelica Sinesis. The angelica plant will grow in North America.

Your local health food store, or herbalist will have some donq quai for you to purchase. If you like to shop online and are looking for a deal, ebay is where I buy my herbs for making herbal tea. I can usually pick up a great deal. Here are a few of the auctions for Dong Quai at the moment.

We also have a supplier for small and large bulk wholesale quantities of Dong Quai (Angelica) and you can order from them direct from our Tea Herbs section.

Dong Quai Benenfits

Drinking a tea made with an extract or the herb itself, I actually prefer using the herb. It just feels less processed to me. Some of the benefits you can get from ingesting Dong Quai are:

  • Corrects Female Hormone Imbalances
  • Addresses Minor PMS
  • Supports Reproductive System
  • Reduces Hot Flashes from Menopause
  • Reduces Night Sweats from Menopause

Making a Tea from Donq Quai

If you have been lucky enought to find some authentic dong quai herb, you can make your own tea. Here is what you do:

Boil 8 ozof water, remove from heat and let 1 tsp of Dong Quai steep for 10 minutes.

You can add other herbs to the tea for flavor and further health benefits. Check out the list of herbal teas here.
