Dijon Ham Tea Party Sandwiches Recipe

This is one of my favorites and not served as frequently as it seemed to be in my childhood. I got this recipe from family and it is always one of the biggest hits.

Ingredients:
canned ham flakes
cream cheese
dijon mustard
gherkin pickles
white sandwich bread sliced lengthwise

This makes a terrific rolled tea party sandwich. You need 2 cans of the flaked ham, drain and place in mixing bowl. Add 1 generous tablespoon of softened cream cheese, 1 teaspoon of dijon style mustard and blend these ingredients together.

Remove 10 gherkins from the jar and lay these on paper towel to absorb moisture.

Take one long piece of sandwich bread and remove crusts. Cut this in half. Spread the mixture to the edge of the bread and lay gherkin pickles along the 'short side' and roll tightly. When you are done, wrap the sandwich roll in wax paper and chill for 4 hours or longer.

Slice and you will have pretty little sandwich rolls. Your guests will love this recipe.
