Any idea what this wonderful tea might have been??

Several years ago a friend gave me a small tin of the most wonderful tea! She taught English as a second language and one of her students came from China and gave her the tea as a gift. The student said the tea was very special and the place she came from in China was famous for it and it grew only there. It had a clean almost floral taste - very fragrant - light amber in color. The only other thing I know about it was that she said it was very expensive.
I really want to try and find this tea again - it was so good. Any idea at all what it might have been? Thanks so very much.
