June 2, 2007 00:20 - It's National Iced Tea Month!

If you live in the United States, you should know that June is the "National Iced Tea Month". It's the month where it's finally getting hot enough for us to bring out the iced tea pitchers and brew up some of our favorite iced tea's!

However this summer I want you to be a bit different than the rest of the people in the world.

Instead of making pitchers of iced tea using Lipton "sugar" mixes or low-quality tea bags from your supermarket, make it a goal to brew a few pitchers using some high-quality tea. You can plan on making it on the same day you have a party at your house with a bunch of your friends there. Let them all try it and watch their reactions as they taste the best iced tea they've ever tasted.

Another great thing you can try is making a variety of iced tea for them. Don't just use black tea to make it, but also make a batch of green and oolong iced tea as well! This will surely get them asking questions and wanting to know where you got it. Then of course you could direct them to my website and have them check out some of the resources I have for you :)

Don't make this another boring summer. It's national iced tea month, so let's give it the respect it deserves!

June 4, 2007 19:21 - Something New Coming...

Well I just finished something I've been working on the past few days little by little. I've been writing an e-course titled "7 ------- --- Need -- ----- -------- Tea"

There's a little hint - can you figure it out?

I still have to revise it and make it a little better before I start setting it up (which will be a another project in itself - I'm not the most tech savvy guy in the world).

However, it's going to be free and I think will be very beneficial to anybody just starting to learn about tea. Those who have been part of my site for awhile now may know most of the stuff, but there might be some new things in there for you as well.

I'm going to try to get it set up by the end of this week, but I can't make any promises. If everything goes smoothly, it should be up by Sunday at the latest. However, nothing ever runs smoothly as you know, so it might be a few days later than that. It all depends on me figuring out how to impliment it to my website and have it work correctly.

After I release it, I would definitely like some reviews/critiques/thumbs-up/thumbs-down, and anything else you can come up with so I can work on it and improve it more.

Plus, you'll be signing up for my newsletter as well!

The newsletter will include things such as me just talking about random things, new research coming out, specials from the online companies I watch so you don't have to waste your time tracking down the latest specials, and a few other things. It should be great!

Anyway I thought I'd just send out an announcement for the upcoming e-course you will hopefully be signing up for :).

Drink Up,

Jeremy

June 10, 2007 09:16 - Tea Is Approved As A Health Product In Canada!

Finally!

We've all known about the amazing value that tea has to the body for quite some time and have been researching it thoroughly in various types of labratory settings, trying once in for all to PROVE that it's a health product.

As with all things that concern the body, this is a very hard thing to do because of the myriad of control settings the experiments have to deal with. I could dive into the different research methods lingo, but I'll spare you :)

Anyway, Canada has finally decided to accept the fact that tea is a health product!

The Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD) is pretty much the same thing as the USA's FDA. They are the governing body that declared this announcement.

What Does This Mean?

In my mind, this is the shift of a sequence of events that I hope will happen. Since Canada has declared tea as a health product, other countries will soon follow suit. People will start to become more attracted to tea, seeking out websites like mine that can teach them about the health benefits of tea.

Although I'm not a big fan of government health agencies such as the FDA because I believe they only follow the money, I really hope that the United States and other countries follow Canada's example.

There is more and more evidence showing that tea should be a daily part of everyones lives, along with a healthy diet and regular exercise. If your not drinking it already, you really need to consider picking up either a tea sampler or some tea that you think you'd enjoy. It's all great!

PS - The 7 day e-course isn't quite ready yet. I finished writing it yesterday, but now I have to figure out how to set it up which is going to be the hard part. However, it will be a little to do since I have the best website building company online :).

June 13, 2007 12:12 - The E-course Is Finished!

Well I finally got finished getting the e-course to exactly how I'd like it to be. I'm not going to make it live until probably tomorrow because I still have to test it on myself in 3 different e-mail servers, but it should be up and ready either tomorrow or Friday.

I've spent a lot of time writing the e-course so I hope my visitors enjoy it. I would really appreciate feedback once you read all 7 installments, so I ask that you please do that. Even if it's horrible, I want to know EXACTLY what you think so I can change it and make it better for my visitors.

All I have to say is that I'm lucky I'm a part of Site Build It. Without having this website run by them, I don't think I ever would have figured out how to set up the autoresponder.

If you haven't checked it out yet, go to the sidebar on your left all the way at the bottom and look at the tab called "My Secret" That explains what Site Build It is and how you can start generating profits online by writing about something you love.

Until next time, enjoy the e-course!

June 16, 2007 13:06 - Making Progress...

Ok, well I'm almost done setting it all up.

Today I figured out how to set up a form for visitors to subscribe to the newsletter I'll be starting. Now all I have to do is put it on each page, which should take about 4 hours or so. I'll just do that while I'm listening to the radio or watching an episode of friends. See how easy it is to build websites? :)

Anyway, I just got finished re-doing the e-course because in the beginning I did something wrong and I just fixed it. Now all I have to do is spend another hour or so re-testing everything and adding some little finishing touches. I also have to make a page to direct you to. That's the thing I'm trying to figure out right now.

I apologize again for this being so late, but I've been pretty busy lately. I'm about to workout right now then I'm working all night, and I'm working another 11 hour shift at the restaurant tomorrow for Fathers Day - so it's been a little hard to get work done on the computer. I'm also going to the beach this Friday so I've been making sure I got to lay out in the sun so I don't get burnt to a crisp at the beach!

My goal is to have this thing up and running on Monday, but if not there's probably a 99% chance that Tuesday will be the absolute latest. So I hope your excited because it's coming close!

For anyone who doesn't know, this e-course is going to be called "7 Reasons Why You Need To Start Drinking Tea". I know there are more reasons, but I figured 7 would be good enough to make people realize how important it is to start drinking tea. I'll give you a hint - it's much more than just the health benefits of tea you receive.

Until Monday or Tuesday, Drink Up!

June 19, 2007 17:08 - Tea E-course Up And Running - Finally!

Well after weeks of writing, tweaking, and playing around with some different things, I've finally gotten around to actually getting the tea e-course all set up and ready to go.

It's named "7 Reasons Why You Need To Start Drinking Tea".

I have it set up so that you enter your information to sign up and almost immediately receive a thank you e-mail as well as the first issue. The next 6 issues will come at approximately 5 a.m. Eastern Time each day.

At the bottom of each e-mail I have a link to where you can also sign up for my newsletter, which I'll now be sending out bi-monthly or monthly, depending on what happens in the tea world. I would like to do a bi-weekly newsletter, but it's not up to me how the news goes :).

If for nothing else, you should subscribe to the newsletter to know about the latest specials at a few of my favorite places to get tea so you can always get it for the cheapest price. I'll send out an e-mail each time they have a "monthly sale" or anything like it so you can always find the best deals.

Anyway, I set the tea-ecourse page up as a pop-up when you load the homepage, but a lot of people nowadays have pop-up blockers so you might not see it. In the next few weeks I'll make a graphic to display it more, but until then you can go here to sign up - Tea E-course Signup!

Please give me some feedback on how you like the e-course! Will it benefit noobie tea drinkers? Do I explain everything in enough detail so people who are new to drinking tea will understand why it's so important to drink it regularly? Is it boring, or do you love it? I'll take any criticism or compliment you can throw at me - I want to make the ecourse as great as possible.

Drink Up!

Jeremy
